Beware: Teething Baby

Classic. This is the meanest mean muggin' face i've ever captured on digital media. Lately, she grinds her teeth so hard it sounds like they're going to break off. The 6th tooth is almost through.

Grandma and Grandpa got Elsa this little deck chair. Isn't it awesome? It even has a drink holder for her sippy cup.

Come on down!

The Price Is Right is on TV tonight. I guess ol' Bob Barker is retiring. I never watch the show during the day - it's seems too flashy and gaudy for 10 am. It's much more suited to the evening hours. I'm so jealous of the girls on the show. They traipse around the set in cheap evening gowns, slide their hand over a bottle of antacid, and probably make 50k a year. Where can I get a job like that?! My job is great of course, but it doesn't pay very well.
My apologies for the lack of keeping up-to-date. I've been busy with various things, like watching season 1 of Rome, planting spring flowers, taking walks, etc. Exhausting, as you can imagine. Since last time, the hubby and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary (7 1/2 together anniversary), Elsa got 3 more teeth (total of 5 now), can wave "bye bye" and stretch arms "so big". She also looks at the fan, clock, and lights on command.
Sorry, season finale of LOST is almost on. Here are some photos and captions for now. Until next time...

Ready to stroll.

What's she looking at? CARS!

Last Friday mom and I took Elsa to a local restaurant for breakfast. They gave her a little placemat and packet of crayons, as if she could use them. She loved the placemat, though - she waved it around the entire time.

She's gonna be a blondie!

Swing

Since the last post, Elsa has turned 8 months old, had her first trip to the park, and visited both grandparents at their places of employment. Last weekend we visited Grandma and Grandpa R, and today we visited Grandma E. Grandpa E's rooftop workplace is no place for a baby, but after this December, she'll be able to visit him anytime at his new office - the pool!
Today, we went back to the park and Elsa's favorite playground equipment so far: the swings. The first time we went to the park she laughed so hard she got the hiccups. This time, she was too intrigued by the boys playing tennis and couldn't concentrate long enough to laugh. I did get these happy pictures, though. Proof positive that the swings are going to be a hot summer destination.

great days

Elsa was baptized yesterday. She was perfect the whole time, and we had a really great day. Thanks to all who shared it with us.

Today we went for a little stroll that ended up being a 3 hour long, 8 mile walk. I'm pretty sure that's a record for the slowest walking time ever recorded, but you have to keep in mind we stopped multiple times for baby related activities. My feet were cartoon-style throbbing, but it was worth it. Just look at that happy little face.

Toys make her smile the biggest.

Easter

Our easter was very nice. We'll have leftover candy till the 4th of July. I don't have any photos from the actual holiday, but I did take some photos a few days before.

(Our easter photoshoot wasn't really this somber - these photos just show off her outfits the best.)
