Lila June, 4 weeks old today.
Today we went to the beach with 4 of my girlfriends and our 7 kids. It was a little crazy, but so much fun! The kids are all within a year or two apart. Here are the 5 girls on the beach.
L to R: Gracie, Elsa, Violet, Ashley and Maddy.
All is well over here, just waiting to start getting more sleep!
Elsa seems used to the baby already; when she wakes up she asks where she is, and always wants to kiss and touch her. The only thing she gets annoyed with is the crying. She frowns and says,"No, no!" Or says in a mocking tone,"Waa! Waa! Bein' a little baby." Hoping to get new video soon.

Lila is 3 weeks old tomorrow...
Momma is 31-years-old today! Here's the awesome german chocolate cake my mom made for me (from scratch!) last weekend. I'll have to literally "get cookin'" if I want to be a good momma like that some day.
I'll have to do the rest of this quick - no real time for writing these days. Here are some photos from our family pool party last weekend:
Soon-to-be Uncle Shane and Elsa play by the pool.
Sister Jenny, cousin Kelly, and Lila.
Dad and Elsa. Sweet face!
Lila looking like she most often does. She's a frowner!
Shane, Tim, Kelly and Neil drink from the shot-ski. Usually reserved for Christmas, it finally found its obvious place in the sun.
Lila sleeping. We realized she has reflux pretty bad, so now she sleeps elevated in her swing at night. It seems to help a little.

Update and some photos
As you can imagine, things have been a little crazy around here. Tim has been home all week which has really helped. I can't imagine next week when he has to go back to work! Elsa seems to like her sister. The only thing that's different so far is that she's become much louder and likes to scream out of nowhere.
Lila is a pretty quiet baby who likes to sleep a lot. I'm not used to that! I keep wanting to wake her up so she sleeps at night, but she still sleeps at night, too. Yes! She eats a ton and had already gained 12 oz. in 3 days when she went to her first doctor appointment on Monday.
Thanks everyone for your nice messages and well-wishes. I was actually the winner of the baby due-date contest, but don't worry, i'll refrain from going on and on about how awesome I am. Instead, i'll mention second place: Shane! and third place: Sheri! You guys are awesome.
And now, some pictures:
Elsa playing in her pool on 4th of July weekend.
She loves watering the flowers with her elephant watering can.
The new family of 4 spent some time outside the day after we got home from the hospital. There wasn't anywhere to put Lila, but the guitar case ended up working just fine.

The girls together. Elsa looked so proud holding her new sister!
