Lots to report since the last post. Lila is 4 months old and had her checkup last week. Her stats:
25 inches (90th %)
14 lbs, 5 oz (75th %)
and her head (I forget) but that's 75th %, too.
To compare, Elsa was always 90th for height, 25th for weight, and her head was 50th %.
Lila is bigger, and also more physical. She's rolling like crazy, and today she rolled from her back to her stomach. She can nearly bounce out of her bouncy chair, and she jumps like a madwoman in her exersaucer. I don't think Elsa ever knew that it bounced. :) Elsa is our quiet observer, while Lila... I already can tell she's going to run circles around us! It's fun comparing the similarities/differences between the two.
Mom and Lila at her doctor appointment.
Apparently it's still normal for her to be waking up every 4 hours (which she does). Because of that, she's still in our room. We have a 2 bedroom house, so we asked the doctor when we should move her in with Elsa. The doctor said,"Would you rather deal with 2 awake kids, or one?" Point taken. Lila will be sleeping in our room...forever? No - until she only wakes once, which is hopefully soon.
We also started Lila on rice cereal, in hopes it would get her to sleep longer. It didn't. Oh, well. She's a natural with food! From the first bite she knew exactly what to do.
Elsa helps feed Lila. Lila silently screams,"Help me!"
Is it me or was she just born? How does this happen so fast?

As Tim says,"Lila's always good for a smile."
Last week we celebrated grandma R's birthday at a local establishment that serves sushi on Wednesday nights. It was actually pretty good! Here's Elsa's first sushi: a Tropical roll. Later, Elsa said,"Elsa no like sushi." We'll try again later!
Elsa with dad before the birthday party. While I was dressing her I said,"Let's put on your leggings." She said,"Leggings... not armings." What a kid!
Also new with Elsa: she's potty training and doing well! We started about a month ago. I soon realized I had to set up a routine, like after mealtimes and bedtimes. Suddenly last week she came to me and said,"Should we go on the potty?", instead of me having to ask her. Ever since, we've had mostly dry days. I made her a potty chart that was for my records at first, but now she loves to watch the stickers go on. You can see how often we're in the bathroom each day. Keep in mind, we sit on the potty, Elsa has to dump and flush, then wash hands, get on a new pull-up, get sticker and treat. It must take 20 minutes each time. Poor baby Lila seems to get ditched most of the day. :( It's exciting, though!

Love the color-coded potty chart! :)
agreed! that's a good way to reward the success and not focus on the negative mistakes. did you think of that on your own? you could sell those!
